I’ve changed the domain of the site pretty much to it’s own domain. This is a really simple change but can cause a ton issues. So far everything seems to be working great but I’m having a lot of issues with Google and I’ve noticed some potentially big issues with the site itself so I’ll keep a sharp eye out.

The old address was a branch off of my Japanese notebook address in: www.jpNotebook.com/anime. My site now has it’s own private address which makes it look a little more established and professional. The new address is: www.TheAnimeFan.com.

As a result the site author’s (my) email address has also changed to author@TheAnimeFan.com from author@jpNotebook.com

Google is having a lot of difficulty with my site so the old links (which won’t work) are likely to temporarily keep showing up. Some images, links, and content might point to the old address and display a “Page Not Found” address. Also, for some reason, leaving off the “www” part of the address causes a lot of issues. I’ll have to sort through them but right now everything seems to work from an outside perspective .

I have recently set up a site email notification and changed up the RSS settings a bit:

Subscribers now have the option to enlist in an email confirmation upon a new post of a blog entry or page and can go into a lot of optional detail to refine the emails if desired.

RSS feeds now show all posts in blog, if people start having problems with feed such as being too large I’ll shorten it to the last 10 or 15 posts.

I didn’t like the new theme which made the site colors simply too bright and difficult to read. The social features were removed and theme was reverted back to normal.

This site is now cell phone friendly! If you view this site in most smartphones it will instead present a highly optimized version of the site that’s much more intuitive for cell phone users. Unlike some other sites, you do have the option to turn off “Cell Phone Mode” and flip back to “Normal Mode” anytime .
